Kids Summer Entertainment Festival

This year, the Kids Zomervermaak Festival returns to Assen city centre, and we're celebrating with a special TT edition! All summer long, there will be free activities for young and old, big and small. From games and bouncy castles to craft workshops and children's theatre performances. New this year: a real TT square with mini-circuits and the Podium Zuidhaege Plein! This summer, Assen is the perfect family outing.

For a century, Assen has been the motor city of the Netherlands. To celebrate this, various unforgettable events are organised. From historic motorbike and bicycle routes to a unique anniversary concert, special TT Beer, an anniversary film and much more. Will you celebrate these special milestones with us?     Start the day with a walk through the Asserbos. Located in the middle of the city, with a petting zoo. With a size of 114 hectares, you won't easily walk the same round here. Tip: have lunch afterwards at the Duurzaamheidscentrum next to the petting zoo.

Work in the city centre

Assen 's city centre is in full development. Six shopping streets will undergo a complete metamorphosis: Kruisstraat, Marktstraat, Weiersloop, Oude Molenstraat, Oudestraat and the eastern part of Gedempte Singel.
